Build your space with IFTI PROvision

Since 1997, IFTI has been delivering state-of-the-arts Professional Solutions, including its flagship solutions Concrete Moisture Testing. With the addition of PROvision 3D imaging solution, IFTI is the first to offer clients a comprehensive professional and scalable approach to manage all their facilities and projects from planning to building to operation.

Phase 2: Building

Now that you’ve planned out your project, the next step is to begin the building process. Every remodeling and renovation project needs to be thoroughly built with quality care and precision. At IFTI, we created our 3D PROvision solution to provide outstanding value and ensure optimal building conditions for companies in need of building, renovating and remodeling their facilities. Let’s go through the building process for an IFTI 3D PROvision project

How to build your construction project?

At IFTI, we strive to prepare your business for your construction project so that your building process is executed thoroughly and efficiently. Use the IFTI PROvision solution to effectively monitor the progress of your construction and remodel projects to:

  1. Monitor progress for each stage of the rebuild/ remodel.

Our 3D scans streamline every stage of construction from collaborating with subcontractors, monitoring vendors, and the overall project maturity. Once the 3D imaging scans are complete, all relevant parties will receive a virtual walkthrough and viewable print assets of the scanned location. Utilizing these blueprints as a guide, will allow for precision and effective monitoring of the project, once construction has begun. In many cases, the IFTI PROvision solution experts have created a weekly scan of the job site, to keep all the stakeholders informed and empower them to make the correct decision during each phase of the build.

  1. Visually verify that milestones are actually being achieved.

It is important to set reasonable milestones and stay on track with your project. Architects and engineers can utilize 3D imaging scans to acquire necessary data needed for documenting milestones. Successive scans throughout construction will highlight your site’s progress and ensure its safety. This will verify that your construction plans and layouts are fully implemented. Furthermore, upon approaching the ending steps of the project and developing your turnover documentation, you will have the luxury of supplying facility owners and managers with complete and highly detailed scans. These can be saved as a reference and utilized for future endeavors.

To get technical for a moment: the 3D imaging technology will scan your location and can create an OBJ file and point cloud data. This can directly export into your BIM software with exceptionally stronger accuracy than traditional manual measurements. You will quickly and easily be able to develop models stemming from existing conditions and without requiring continual site visits. This will mitigate the time spent on organizing stakeholder meetings and countless hours and days spent out of the office. You will be able to begin prototyping and designing your location, using keen and precise measurements instantly.

  1. Maintain an OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) certified work environment.

At IFTI, construction safety is a top priority, as our 3D imaging scans are certified with the OSHA guidelines. Our 3D imaging scans afford you the freedom to easily scroll through the entire location and discover potential areas of concern. These detailed and comprehensive scans will detect these areas of concern, and allow you to avoid costly construction mishaps before they occur. This can also prevent many harmful construction-related injuries that can arise during renovations/remodeling. It allows you to verify for yourself that all the job site safety rules are being applied.

  1. Report on the building process and share with all stakeholders.

As stated earlier, after every IFTI 3D imaging scan, all relevant stakeholders will receive access to both the physical print assets (measurements & blueprints) as well as the virtual step-by-step walkthrough. Reporting on the project is an important last step of the process and needs to be completed with acute and insightful information/data. This makes sharing the project a collaborative effort and will provide the necessary transparency to relevant stakeholders. IT’ll help prepare the project for the next phase as well, Operating the space.

A virtual 3D analysis of your facilities ensures the trust you need to advance with future renovations and remodeling. Your 3D blueprints will present the mechanical and structural data needed to arrange proposals that are scoped and scheduled accurately. Rather than relying on incomplete or out of date estimations, 3D imaging scans can assist in ensuring that your renovation/ remodeling will start and end on time, and stay within your assigned budget.
